Medicare Home Health Face-to-Face Requirements

Medicare home health plays a vital role in allowing patients to receive care at home as an alternative to extended hospital or nursing home care. If you or your loved one are planning to use a Home Healthcare Agency (HHA), make sure that the home health agency is licensed and certified by Medicare. Please note that all agencies providing personal care and companion care at home may not be eligible for home health care reimbursement from Medicare.

There are stringent guidelines and rules to follow when utilizing HHA services. Following is a document in Powerpoint format with Home Health face-to-face guidance provided by Medicare (CMS / HHS).

Improving Dementia Care using In-Home Care Providers

This would be the best option if you can still live in your own home.
